Kenilworth Science and Technology Academy, a long-standing partner of Building Hope, is expanding its Baton Rouge campus to include a high school facility, marking a significant milestone in the school’s mission to provide a continuous, high-quality public education experience for its students from middle school through high school.
To support this next chapter, Building Hope is serving as Project Manager for the design and delivery of a 12,000-square-foot, two-phase modular facility on the school’s existing campus. The expansion will feature 10 new classrooms and additional amenities designed to support up to 330 students, providing the physical infrastructure necessary to meet growing enrollment and the academic aspirations of the Kenilworth community.
In addition to leading the facility development, Building Hope is also assisting with the acquisition of a nearby 0.5-acre parcel of land, which will be used to expand parking and recreational space, addressing both current and future campus needs. This reflects Building Hope’s holistic approach to school development supporting not only academic space but the broader environment students need to thrive.
The project is being executed in multiple phases. Phase I is scheduled for delivery in Summer 2026, followed by Phase II in 2027. Both will be designed using modular construction methods to allow for timely and cost-effective deployment. The school and Building Hope are also working toward a long-term vision of a permanent high school facility as Phase III, with plans to launch that development in the coming years.

With an estimated total project cost of $3.1 million, this expansion underscores the shared commitment between Kenilworth and Building Hope to long-term, scalable educational success in Baton Rouge. This project continues a trusted partnership built on previous successful collaborations, and reaffirms Building Hope’s role as a dedicated development partner in charter school growth nationwide.
As Kenilworth evolves into a full K–12 public charter school, this high school expansion will ensure more students can complete their academic journeys without leaving the community they trust. Building Hope is proud to play a key role in making that vision a reality.
